Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
If you experience tingling or numbness in the first three fingers of your hand, or you experience weakness or even pain in these areas, you may be experiencing Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS). The carpal tunnel is a small tunnel-like area in your wrist where a nerve runs from your wrist to your fingers. If the nerve (median nerve) becomes trapped or pinched here, you may develop Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Fortunately, not all wrist pain should be called CTS. It is important to determine whether the symptoms are actually caused by pressure on the median nerve in the wrist or if there is a different cause for the problem. It is VERY common to have these types of symptoms when there is neck misalignment, a history of injury, or other spinal condition. The nerves in the neck control all of the nerves in our hands. If the nerves in the neck are compressed, pain in the wrist and hands is a common symptom. The Xour work practices are trained to determine if your condition is true Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

CHIPAL THERAPY FOR CARPAL TUBE SYNDROME
In many cases, your chiropractor can use wrist adjustments or manipulations to relieve the symptoms of true CTS. If it is determined by your Dr. of Chiropractic that the cause of your symptoms is due to a neck-related condition, a series of chiropractic adjustments may be recommended. Whatever the cause, rest assured that we will do our best to guide you in the most appropriate direction to resolve your health issue.
